ABOUT US

Cycletrek is now located at Kambarang, a 100 acre bush property at Lowden in the Shire of Donnybrook / Balingup, 50km from Bunbury, which Barrie and Sherry discovered in 1993, while on a full moon ride with a bunch of other crazy people.

Kambarang is an aboriginal word from the local Nyoongar language, which is name of the ‘season’ of October – November. Nyoongar culture has a close association and deep respect for the land. They have 6 seasons, and when you live in the south west bush for a while, you see that 6 seasons are more appropriate here than the European four.

October to November – Kambarang – is our peak wildflower time, including the unusual and delightful Butterfly orchid (Caladenia Lobata).
